Avengers Endgame: This visual treat will give you goosebumps
The wait is over, ladies and gentlemen. The moment of unveiling is here. Drum roll........ Avengers Endgame. The Russo Brothers once again create an engaging masterpiece shortly after the events of the predecessor . Infinity War emerged as a standalone movie to break all box office records. The sequel too doesn't disappoint. The sheer awesomeness of the budget, the breathtakingly stupendous CGI, the character development and the dichotomy of the character Thanos along with the psyche of the Avengers were simply great in terms of movie-making prowess. Prepare to be wowed.
The movie takes place five years after the all- powerful and maniacal power hungry Titan- Thanos eviscerates half of the Earth's population. The monster does his deed and lays to rest all his crazy ambitions. He proceeds to live the rest of his life as a farmer is some grateful universe. The Avengers, or whats left of them after the blip( the catastrophic event that Thanos inflicts upon humanity) try to gain a sense of closure and purpose in their lives. But, things take a turn for the worse when Scott Lang returns from the quantum realm that he was trapped in, only to realize that 50% of life isn't existing anymore on planet Earth. Whats really interesting is the concept of time travel, parallel universes and multiverses. These terminologies are usually toyed with in Marvel movies and to get to witness it in the big screen with Endgame is sheer magic. The Avengers aim to revive all their fallen comrades. Will Thanos really pay for his atrocities? What is the fate of the remaining Avengers? Will the Avengers assemble, one last time? This movie will keep on the edge of your seat and render you speechless by the end of it. Taut, wonderfully made, it oozes that charm found in most MCU movies but goes a step ahead it making the whole experience much more worthwhile.
Thanos's goal is a perfect metaphor for population control(pun intended). But the way he approaches it is with disregard to family,friends etc, jeopardizing his relationships with everyone he encounters. It isn't just another superhero-vigilante movie. It imparts life lessons. And do watch out for that marvel of a climax. It seals the deals. Period.
Slow in its pace but extremely impactful, Avengers Endgame stays true to its immense hype and delivers accordingly. A timeless classic in its own right. I tip my hat to the Russo Brothers. Kudos. It served as a beacon of hope to Marvel fans, looking for a decent watch after a string of failed cinemas from the Marvel realm. Prepare for a surreal and immersive 3 hours and 2 minutes. Truly iconic.
