Sushanth Singh : The shooting star

Sushanth Singh Rajput. Deemed an outsider but found a way to crawl into our hearts. From
giving out blockbuster hits like Dil Bechara where he plays a cancer stricken patient to an
aspiring cricketer in Kai Po Che, he was on the path to fame, adulation and immense
success. But these were all short-lived. Fueled by an inherently nepotistic industry, they
pushed him to the dark alley of oblivion, forever and ever.
A misrepresented case of "suicide" is in fact a cold-blooded murder.

The gaping loopholes that's staring us in the eyes has to finally gain some closure. A brutal
murder of a beloved celebrity is sure to give rise to corroborating facts and reasons leading
to his untimely demise.

Rumor has it that he suffered from frequent bouts of depression, but it wasn't nearly as
severe as it was made out to be. His supposed "girlfriend" Rhea Chakraborty masqueraded
as his girlfriend but in actuality, swindled his money for her own personal gain. This gold
digger is now being apprehended by the Bihar Police under charges of Abettment of Suicide.
Wow, how the turntables(pun intended).

Now, Sushanth was one of those genuine souls who was a prodigious engineering student,
acing all his tests with finesse and ease, emerging as the topper of a physics Olympiad,
securing an admission to the prestigious mecca of universities-Stanford. Yet, all he craved
was go be in the front of the limelight. Donning various hats, be it a consummate dancer or a
skilled actor or even his good looks, his future seemed gloomy and ominous. A cabal in
Bollywood worked systematically to destroy his very being. He was so loved and respected
by his family and fans alike, what possible reasons could have arisen that led to his
downfall?!

Beneath that jovial and affable demeanor was a man of great talent, a precocious mind that
didn't seem to function on this plane of existence. His impressive body of work probably was
intimidating for all all the star kids high on glamour and looks but no raw talent whatsoever.
His birthright was snatched away from him, mercilessly and painfully.

A star that could have shone brighter, had Bollywood not done him dirty and wrong. A man
whose very screen presence and aura , right from your quintessential soap opera-Pavitra
Rishta to Dil Bechara, he redefined what acting really meant. His intelligence transcended
space and time. A sorry attempt at putting nepotism and star kids into the limelight, but we will push through poor Sushanth's horrible death. The coterie that was planning his murder
will be incarcerated pretty soon, is my two cents here.

Now, I wasn't an ardent fan of his work, but what I did come to realize from the movies that
he'd done was that his ability to maintain steady relationships with anyone within the
fraternity were very fragile. A keen, inquisitive mind such as his would naturally be selective
about the friend circle that he chooses. But if only his allegiances weren't as tenuous, so
vulnerable and prone to agony.

Sushanth, my heart goes out to you. You inspired a generation of youngsters to excel in their
craft, it's a shame you didn't linger on for long as you would have dazzled millions of
cine goers. Maybe you never really know what's going on behind the curtain,so to speak.
This is an ode to a great soul, an actor par excellence,a seamless student and a wonderful
human being. Here's to you, Sushanth. Your death will not go forgotten.
Light up the stage in the afterlife, my friend. Shine on. The first time the entire nation of India
stands in solidarity and whose hearts beat as one.
